Preview Mode Walkthrough

Preview Mode allows you to experience your project exactly as it would appear once published. You can interact with scenes, explore information tags and maps, and test navigation tools.

Follow the steps below to learn how to use every preview mode option

1

Open a project in Editor

For this tutorial it is best to use a project that has multiple scenes. You can use one of Whereness sample projects.

2

Enter the Preview mode

  • Click on the Preview Icon in the Editor.

  • A new window will open with your project’s cover image and a Start button. Click the Start button to launch Preview Mode.

3

Interact with the Side Navigation Panel

The Side Panel appears on the left side of the Preview Mode screen and displays a visual table of contents, including project overview and all layers, spaces, and scene thumbnails.

  • Click a scene thumbnail to load that scene.

  • Click the X in the Side Panel’s upper left corner to close it.

  • To reopen the Side Panel, click the Layer/Scene names in the upper left corner of the screen.

4

Interact with the Scene View Panel

Scene View Panel is in the center of the screen where your scene is displayed.

  • Click and drag inside the scene to look around.

  • Click on Information Tags to reveal their content (text, media, etc.).

This helps you to test how interactive content of scenes is presented in the final experience.

5

Interact with Bottom Panel

Hover with your mouse at the bottom of the screen to reveal the Bottom Panel.

  1. Click the Map Icon to open the project map.

  2. Select a Scene that you want to load by choosing its name.

  3. Use the left and right Arrows to move to the previous or next scene.

  4. Click Auto Play to enable automatic scene transitions:

    • For scenes containing 360° images, the next scene loads after 15 seconds.

    • For 360° videos, the next scene loads when the video ends.

    • For 3D model scenes, click the Next Scene arrow manually.

  5. Click the Fullscreen icon to switch to fullscreen mode.

6

Exit Preview Mode

To exit preview mode, simply close browser tab.
