Present your scenes better

You can use several Whereness tools to improve how your project is presented. These enhancements are configured in the Editor, but their effects are only visible in Preview Mode.

Initial Viewpoint

Initial viewpoint is the camera's rotation at which the scene will be loaded. It is the first thing that you will see after loading a scene. You can customize this by adjusting the camera's orientation.

1

Hover over the image under Initial Viewpoint.

A Change option will appear. Click it to enter adjustment mode in the scene view panel.

2

Rotate around the scene by clicking and dragging until you have the desired rotation.

3

You can zoom in or zoom out.

4

Adjust camera orientation controls

  • Pitch: Use the plus and minus buttons on the left side of the scene view, or enter a value manually.

This controls the vertical tilt of the camera. A positive pitch angles the camera upward (toward the sky or ceiling), while a negative pitch angles it downward (toward the ground).

  • Roll: Use the plus and minus buttons on the right side of the scene view, or enter a value manually.

This controls the side-to-side tilt of the camera, like turning a steering wheel. A positive roll rotates the view to the right, and a negative roll rotates it to the left.

  • Click the Reset button to quickly set both pitch and roll values to 0.

5

Click Set initial viewpoint to save the changes or click x button to cancel

Now when previewing the project, the scene will always load with this viewpoint.

It is especially useful to adjust the viewpoint well when working on scenes with 3D and 3DGS models.

Scene Motion

1

Turn on the Scene Motion option in Editor

Do this to give your scene a slight camera rotation.

2

Go to Preview Mode and load the scene where you enabled Scene Motion.

Now you can see the effect of turning on Scene Motion

Combine initial viewpoint adjustment and scene motion to present your 3D models—and also 360 images and videos—at their best.

Scene Summary

Type in the text you wish to include in the Scene Summary area of the Editor.

The scene summary is a short text message that appears for a few seconds after the scene loads in Preview Mode. You can use it to provide a brief description or context for the scene.

The text can be freely customized, but it is recommended to keep it concise, as it will only remain visible for a limited time.

Scene Thumbnail

1

In the Editor, hover over the image area under Scene Thumbnail.

2

Click Select Image to open the media selection window.

3

Choose an image from the uploaded files, or click the plus button to upload a new one.

The scene thumbnail is an image that provides a quick visual preview of the scene. It is displayed in the side panel when viewing the project in Preview Mode.
