Upload the First File

Now that you've created a project, you can upload files. Below you can see how an empty Editor screen looks.

Click on Upload 360°/3D Content and choose the file you wish to upload from your device.

The media file will automatically be added to the scene and displayed in the Scene View Panel, which is marked by purple frame.


What Content Can Be Imported?

Whereness supports a variety of spatial and visual media formats, including videos, images, and 3D models.

360° Videos
  • Regular and 360° formats

  • Format: MP4

  • Encoding: H.265, H.264

  • Recommended bitrate: 80–130 Mbps

  • Max file size: 5 GB

  • Resolution: export at original resolution

  • Displayed as 4K (3840 × 1920) in Whereness

If your video file is too large, reduce the bitrate before uploading.

360° Images
  • 360° panoramic photos

  • Supported formats: JPEG, PNG

3D Models
  • Current support: Gaussian Splat models

  • Supported formats: PLY, SPZ, SPLAT, KSPLAT

  • Coming soon: standard 3D model support, supported formats OBJ, FBX
