Whereness Editor Interface

In Whereness Editor you can work on your projects and make them accessible for others to see.

Overview of Whereness Editor Interface

The below image shows the editing screen divided into main areas numbered from 1 to 6, each serving a different function.

Top Toolbar

You can undo or redo actions and return to the main dashboard.

Middle Toolbar

You can select elements, add scene links, tag scenes with additional information, and upload maps.

Bottom Toolbar

You can preview your project or access profile and account settings.

Side Panel

You can manage the project name, switch between the space and material views, and access publishing settings.

Scene View Panel

You can view and navigate the scene, and place scene links or information tags.

Properties Panel

You can access and edit information about the Scene and Scene Media

Detailed Whereness Editor Functions Descriptions

Top Toolbar
  • Clicking the Whereness Icon will take you back to the dashboard.

  • The [Undo] button allows you to undo actions. There is no limit to how many times you can undo, but you cannot undo actions from before login.

  • The [Redo] button lets you redo any undone actions.

Middle Toolbar
  • The [Select] button allows to select options and scene elements.

  • The [Link to Scene] button allows you to add scene links.

  • The [Tag Information] button helps you add tags with additional information to scenes.

  • The [Map] button lets you upload and set maps.

Bottom Toolbar
  • Clicking [Preview] at the bottom of the toolbar will let you preview your project in the WHERENESS PLAYER.

  • Clicking the [Account Icon] opens a menu where you can access account settings and view your profile.

Side Panel - when Spaces are selected
  • Hover over this area to reveal this [Expand Space] button. It allows to hide and unhide the Scenes inside a Space.

  • Click to rename a project, access publish settings or delete a project.

  • Click to add a new Scene, Space or Layer

  • Click to add a new Scene inside the current Space

Side Panel - when Assets are selected
  • Click to rename a project, access publish settings or delete a project.

  • Click to add new media to a Project or Create a Folder to organize already uploaded media

Publish button

Click to access Publishing Settings and publish a project.

Scene View Panel
  • The scene view displays the current scene selected in Side Panel

  • You can look around the scene by left clicking and dragging

  • You can zoom in and out by scrolling.

  • You can place scene links and information tag icons within the scene.

Properties Panel
  1. Click to rename or delete the current scene

  2. hover over the information icon to see the Available File Types for uploading to the scene

  3. Click to change the displayed media of the current scene or to add new media

  4. Click to change the background sound of the current scene or to add new sound file

  5. You can write the summary of the scene here

  6. Select to add Scene Motion

Properties Panel - Initial Viewpoint and Thumbnail

Hover over the image areas to reveal the Change option:

  1. change the Initial Viewpoint of a Scene

  2. change the Thumbnail photo of the Scene
